TU FUI EGO ERIS
Class 18 - 11/13/14 - 11/14/1411/13/2014 A low voice issues from the oversized armchair facing the window... "Well, hello." A long silence follows, punctuated evenly by the chirp of crickets from the courtyard beyond the open window. The chair turns slowly to reveal Mr. T, international spy and part-time crime fighter, with legs crossed and a cup of coffee balanced smoothly on the arm of the chair. He sips his cup of coffee and clears his throat. "I have been waiting for you." Another long pause. He likes to pause. "I suppose you would like to know what we did in class today. I could tell you... or... okay, fine I'll just tell you. "I handed out a sheet of questions on chapters 7 and 8 of Things Fall Apart. You worked through the questions and discussed them with a partner. They were intended for discussion, but you also needed to complete them in writing on a separate sheet of paper. You will find the questions below. Share them with your associates if necessary, but whatever you do, do not let them fall into the wrong hands. "You have been warned. "You must leave now. Remember, as always, you never saw me." Suddenly, the oversized armchair sprouts two jet-propulsion turbines and a steering mechanism. The ceiling opens and Mr. T ascends into the night sky as his theme music plays from the rocket chair's onboard speaker system. 'Dun-Dun-Dududun-Dun-Dahhhhh Dun-Dun-Dududun-Dun-Deedoodah'
In addition, read chapters 9 - 10 of Things Fall Apart, and begin working on another vocabulary list. The vocab list will be due in 1 week.
