TU FUI EGO ERIS
Class 35 - 2/26/15 - 2/27/153/17/2015 Today in class, I checked off student progress so far on the argumentative essay assignment.
Then, I gave a refresher lesson on introductory paragraphs: -An introduction should begin with a hook to catch the reader's attention. -Next, give your reader the necessary background information to understand the basics of the issue you are arguing in your paper. -End your intro paragraph with a thesis statement. A thesis in an argumentative essay should state your side in the argument and may also briefly state some of the support for your side on the issue (this support would then be elaborated upon in your body paragraphs). I then gave work time for students to begin their argumentative essay rough drafts.
