Today in class, we went over the response to literature questions for the African folk tale, "Anansi's Fishing Expedition." Then, in small groups, we read 1 of 6 different African folk tales and completed summaries of each story and its message before sharing out all of the stories with the whole class.
Then, some classes did an additional activity based around cultural stereotypes and the importance of understanding a culture through its own lens instead of through a strictly outsider perspective. If your class did not do this activity, we will be doing it soon.
Lastly, I handed out a short story and some response to literature questions. The story starts on page 102 according to the page numbering of the PDF.
