Students and Parents,
This week, we covered the following:
1. We began with a quickwrite.
2. I gave out an assignment sheet describing the rest of the Song Lyrics Analysis project (attached below). We discussed the short essay portion of the assignment. The short essay will be due on 11/7.
3. Students continued working on their Lyrics Analysis projects.
Wednesday & Thursday:
1. Students took the NWEA Reading and Math tests in my class. Any students who were unable to complete both tests during the class time will finish their testing with their EPs. These tests allow us to measure student understanding and progress in comparison to a student's own previous scores and in comparison to school-wide and state-wide averages. This is not a state standards test, and it does not count for a grade. It does, however, let us know how we can support our students better in their challenging content areas.
